Simple and easy to install, this adapter bolts behind the spare tire mounting stubs and sticks out from the upper position wheel spoke gap, ensuring increased visibility of the third brake light, which is crucial when upgrading to larger tires and wheels for enhanced safety and compliance with road regulations
Afterwards, unscrew and remove the original high mount third brake light, reinstall it onto the metal bracket, and route the wire through the rim's gap
Special note: this Wrangler JL 3rd brake/stop lamp relocation kit might not work with some extremely oversize aftermarket wheels or those rims without any spoke gap for the bracket to go through (see pictures 4 and 5 more details)
