For GM engine enthusiasts that would be the Gen V LT engine series. The Gen V LT engine was introduced in the 2014 Corvette as the LT1. The LT engine series includes many modern technologies including direct injection, variable valve timing, factory supercharging, and much more. While the LT has more performance, technology, and overall strength than the previous Gen 3 and Gen 4 LS engines, it is also not a direct swap. The LT engine family has some carry over parts/dimensions, but the new block design features different engine mount location/bolt pattern, thus an LS-equipped vehicle cannot accommodate an LT swap as a direct drop in. Motor mount adapters or fabrication using a universal mount kit will be required. For the latter option of fabricating mounts/adapters, it is beneficial to have the LT engine in place for mocking up the mount brackets and creating any additional bracing
