The Falcon Late Model transmission features two forward speeds, neutral, and an integral hydraulically-applied clutch operating the low and backup gears. High gear is a direct-drive 1-to-1 ratio with minimal rotating mass. With its aluminum case and extension housing, the transmission weighs just 45 pounds. It's dimensionally comparable to a Muncie, T-10, and other similar transmissions—including the 1-3/16” x 27-spline output shaft, designed to provide the most positive high gear retention in the industry. It comes with the correct crank coupler for easy installation—even to a stock flywheel housing. Frictionless bearings support all rotating components for unmatched durability, and as with all Winters transmissions, all rotating internals, from gears to shafts, are REM-finished. IMCA Approved for Stock Car, Modified, and Late Model classes. Includes Compatible with Chevy Early Small Block (Pre-1986 2-Piece Rear Main) 18 Spline Crank Coupler (Winters 62407-62901-62348-18). Internal wet clutch saves the cost and rotating mass of a “stock” type clutch, no torque converter or pressure plate required. Hydraulic clutch pedal required. All rotating internals, from gears to shafts, are REM-finished. Strong enough to hold up through the low-900 HP range. Extension housing includes a sturdy roller bearing to accommodate 1-1/2 inch diameter slip yokes. 9 inch yoke permits 7-1/2" of yoke travel while maintaining a minimum of 1-1/2" of spline engagement. Measures 21-5/8" from bellhousing flange to end of tail housing. 1-3/16 x 27 spline output shaft. Two forward speeds.
