Using a Buffalo and Indian Head nickel as inspiration, this larger offering was issued for only one year by the US Mint to commemorate the opening of the Smithsonian's American Indian Museum. Preserving the coin, our in-house silversmith created a bezel with a solid Sterling backing to encase it. It's 1-1/2" wide and it comes on a braided, black genuine leather cord and including the Sterling tips, is 44" end to end.
