This block is the same size that the FBI and other law enforcement agencies use for terminal ballistics testing, and is perfect for hunters, hobbyist, semi-professional, professional shooters, and all types of law enforcement agencies.The Clear Ballistics FBI Block is made from ballistic gelatin, (a modern day ballistic gelatin), which is 100% synthetic, non-toxic, and contains no organic materials. It has taken the place of conventional ballistic gelatin, (100% organic), and completely temperature unstable. The FBI Block is 100% clear as glass, odorless, reusable, and temperature stable - suitable for temperatures up to 240° F, and mimics human tissue. Clear Ballistic gelatin is mold-able into any shape and does not mold or rot. The ballistic gelatin does not require special storage, and each gelatin process is batch controlled. Clear Ballistics calibrates the gelatin with each batch, while following the FBI protocol for ballistics testing developed for ballistic testing of human tissue.NoteClear Ballistics Gel can be reused, and re-melted an average of 8 to 10 times depending on how well you care for it, although it may turn a more brown color after consecutive melts. The gel will stay within calibration even if it is no longer clear.
