Movement: We investigated several movement options for this watch, and it became clear that the Seiko NH34 movement was ideal for the Mark III due to its GMT and date functionality, ability to be wound using the motion of the wearer's wrist, 41 hour power reserve (without any wrist winding), and hacking/stopping-seconds feature.
Case: The case of the Mark III GMT is milled from stainless steel and features scratch-resistant sapphire front and caseback crystals. It has a diameter of 38 mm, a lug-width of 19 mm, a lug-to-lug length of 45 mm, and a thickness of 12.75 mm.
Caseback: The caseback features a laser-engraved timezone scale, which is helpful for setting the second timezone function. This is also a tribute to the first Höglund and Sons model which had the same engraving and features Minneapolis in bold in place of Chicago to honor our hometown.
Water Resistance: The watch has a 100 m water resistance rating and each watch is individually tested to this depth prior to shipment.
Strap/Bracelet: All watches will include both a blue cloth pin buckle strap and a steel mesh bracelet.
Dial: The watch features Swiss Super-Luminova on all hands and indices, offering an improvement from previous Höglund & Sons models. All hour indices are applied rather than painted and the dial has a glossy finish with colored text for maximum visibility.
