Description

Lady's Mantle (Alchemilla vulgaris) is a perennial herb with creeping one or more stems that rise up during the flowering period. The root of the plant is thick, locates horizontally. Plant height reaches 30 cm. An interesting feature of Lady's Mantle is the ability to hold morning dew in each leaf, folded at the base into a funnel. Due to the presence of dense pubescence, the leaves of Lady's Mantle remain almost dry after rain. Lady's Mantle can bloom twice a year, usually flowering begins in June, and repeated flowering can be seen in September. The flowers are greenish, small, collected in narrow, corymbose-paniculate inflorescences resembling small balls. Achenes are formed in August.
