How to Measure Your Child's Foot: Place your child barefoot (or in thin socks) on a sheet of paper and trace around the foot. Measure from the heel to the tip of the longest toe. Add 0.5–0.7 cm (about 3/16–1/4 inch) to this length – this is the recommended insole size (not the sole size). For wider/taller feet, allow up to 1 cm (about 3/8 inch) extra room. Important: Always check the insole length of Szamos shoes, not the outer sole. A simple trick: insert a drinking straw into the shoe, mark where the toes reach, and measure the straw for the exact insole length.
