Reinhard Heydrich is often regarded as the most ruthless Nazi who ever lived. Assassinated in 1942, it is estimated that over 5,000 people were murdered in retaliation for his death. Commemorated on this stamp as the highest of Nazi "martyrs", the stamp depicts Heydrich in death, since the image was made from a wax "death mask" right after he died. A scarce issue, with high book value, especially when in such pristine condition.
