Special Features

  • Solid carbide tools offer long tool life and faster cutting speeds than other substrates, but are more brittle and must be used with rigid toolholding systems
  • Uncoated tools feature just the base substrate without any additional treatment or coatings and are suitable for a wide range of applications
  • Round shanks allow use with a wide variety of toolholding systems
  • Straight flute tools allow chips to collect in the flutes as they cut and are well suited for most applications in shallow cuts
  • Designed for accurate reaming in most materials using all types of equipment including screw machines, turret lathes, drill presses and machining centers

Description

Drill America DMOR Series Solid Carbide Chucking Reamers are designed for accurate reaming in most materials using all types of equipment including screw machines, turret lathes, drill presses, and machining centers. They are regularly pointed with a 45º chamfer. The straight-flute design is recommended for most general purpose reaming. The right-hand spiral-flute reamer has the smooth, chatter-free action necessary for fine finishes. It is recommended over the straight-flute for more difficult materials, better surface requirements, and applications with an interruption such as a keyway or cross hole.
