  • COMPOSITION | Our clay pucks are made from Bentonite clay, which has a beautiful pink to white hue due to its rich mineral composition, including silica, iron, and zinc. Also known as Calamine clay—a historic term for zinc ore—the name "calamine" originates from the Latin "lapis calaminaris," a variation of the Greek "cadmia" (καδμία), the ancient name for zinc ores.
  • TEXTURE & FORM | Our clay pucks are the perfect balance of earthy, velvety and somewhat dusty. However, it's also very smooth and almost creamy to the touch. It feels and looks almost malleable on the surface, and is quite soft in geological terms. It can be broken by hand with little effort. The earthy and gentle feel of the clay is very pleasant and has a primal quality. It has a mild and natural odor of nature and pristine purity.
