  • While it loses strength faster than materials like polydioxanone and polyglyconate, it maintains a steadier pace compared to polyglecaprone 25 and aligns closely with the degradation rate of polyglycolic acid.
  • For enhanced performance, PGLA or Polyglactin 910 suture is available in a coated format, featuring a layer of calcium stearate and a glycolide and lactide copolymer. This coating serves to reduce tissue drag during suturing, ensuring smoother and more efficient procedures.
  • PGLA or Polyglactin 910 suture undergoes degradation through the hydrolysis of its polymer's chemical bonds, culminating in complete absorption approximately 60-90 days post-implantation.

Description

SUTURE THREAD: GoldVet Polyglactin Veterinary Sutures are absorbable. The tensile strength of the thread is reliably tested and meets USP standards.
OUR PREMIUM SHARP NEEDLE: Veterinary sutures are manufactured with the stainless steel series 300 premium sharp needles that remain sharp pass after pass.
PACKAGING AND STERILIZATION: GoldVet Polyglactin Veterinary Sutures come in a package of 12 sutures per box and are sterilized with ETO. The sterilization and packaging process is validated and controlled.
QUALITY: Veterinary sutures are made in a validated class 7 cleanroom and ISO 13485 certified manufacturing environment.
