Using this interface module has several functions: Providing a +12V switched accessory power source (for powering your aftermarket stereo). Remote Turn on for factory premium (digital) sound systems. When your factory radio is removed, your vehicle's Electronic Control Module (ECM) will store a fault code. This module will send the correct data to the Control Module, indicating a "Healthy" status so any dealership tools are not adversely affected during servicing. Maintains the use of your steering wheel audio controls (if equipped).
