The water in the container in the bottom is absorbed by the sheets where they evaporate six time faster than water in a bowl. It also is very ecological since it is made from natural materials only and functions without making any noise or using electricity. The hinoki cypress also diffuses a nice scent of wood. Masuya is a company specialized in the manufacturing of masu sake cups. It is located in Ogaki city, which accounts for about 80% of the production of masu cups in Japan.
