COOK WITH CONFIDENCE KNOWING WHAT YOU'RE BURNING- Our starters are made from coconuts, soy and eco-friendly, unbleached, uncoated brown kraft paper that gets its color directly from the wood pulp. We never use paraffin wax (an oil product) or any petrochemicals. We take our product being a natural fire starter very seriously which is why we only use plant based fuels. We also believe that transparency is key to our customers being able to have peace of mind knowing exactly what they are using to light their wood or charcoal.
MINOR VEGETABLE AROMA WHEN LIT: Unlike the odor from lighter fluid, the minor aroma from Volcano Fire Starters is completely vegetable based! This aroma leaves NO residue on charcoal or food and will disappear completely with an open grill lid as the starter burns up.
NO PARAFFIN WAX- Unlike our competitors that say their products are "natural" or "food grade" but still use paraffin wax, we don't use paraffin wax for anything! Paraffin wax is a petroleum byproduct, even when it's food grade wax. If a company won't tell you what type of wax they use, feel free to assume it's paraffin and not as "natural" as they claim!
WEATHER PROOF- Need a starter that you can depend on in all types of weather? Volcano Fire Starters have no problem lighting well seasoned or kiln dried wet or frozen wood. Once lit, the starters also burn better in windy conditions so our starters are perfect for emergency situations.
