Description

The Cura (pronounced "jurah") is the smallest and the highest pitched member of the Turkish Baglama/Saz family. For centuries due to its small size it has been the favorite instrument of the nomads of Anatolia (Yoruks) who tagged their Curas on their horses. “The little red devil” benefits from a spruce top, the most favored wood for its tonal qualities, a varnished maple bowl in red and a beech neck with Anatolian motifs along the keyboard. It comes with its own custom sized gig bag, extra set of strings and plectrums. ,br> The Cura is a very portable instrument with only 60 cm (around 24 inches) in length and weighs around 30 ounces or less.
