The Triton BJA300 biscuit jointer fits quickly and easily onto the Triton router table for fast, strong and invisible jointing of sections of timber. This precisely aligned biscuit joiner is ideal for bevel, mitre, rail-to-stile, edge-to-edge, end-to-end, rail-to-post, edge-to-face, right angle joints and other forms of edge joinery. It suits 1/4 and 1/2-inch routers.
The Triton BJA300 biscuit jointer expands the capabilities of the Triton router table to enable precise, solid jointing of timber sections. Biscuit jointing is a highly effective method for joining two boards or sections of timber. The biscuit jointer cuts corresponding slots in the thickness of the boards. Then, a compressed, oval-shaped piece of timber known as a ‘biscuit' is covered with glue and inserted in each slot in one board. To make the joint, the two boards are clamped together and, as the wet glue expands the biscuit, it forms a bond that is often stronger than the wood itself.
Stability is a key requirement for forming accurate biscuit joints and, when fitted to the Triton router table, the Triton biscuit jointer can provide exceptional stability for accurate, long-lasting joints. It comes with a tungsten carbide-tipped blade which stays sharper for longer, and provides maximum cutting performance. A pack of biscuits is also included with the Triton BJA300 biscuit jointer. Additional biscuits are in packs of 50 (BJA050) and 500 (BJA056).
