Bentonite Clay Desiccant absorbs up to 25% of it's weight in moisture. It's a common substitute for Silica Gel (which can absorb up to 40% of it's weight in moisture) due to it's inexpensive cost. Clay Desiccant is non-indicating and reusable.

Clay Desiccant is effective with a temperature range from below freezing up to 120°F. For applications over 120°F use Silica Gel instead. Clay Desiccant packets will not deteriorate or "swell" as it absorbs moisture.
