Directions: For store bought handles that have a varnish, remove varnish with 180 grit sandpaper, then sand to 2200 grit. For first time wax use, push cloth covered finger tip into wax to break the surface. The wax will feel hard at first but will spread nicely onto handle. Apply a decent amount of wax covering all of the wood and let sit in the sun or next to the fireplace for an hour or so. A hair dryer can be used for the impatient. Buff off excess with a lint free cotton rag, an old t-shirt works best. Repeat two or three times, once per day. It will be obvious when the wood is completely saturated.
