Anderson Brass ABF-1LL — ASSE 1022 Vented Dual Check Backflow Preventer | 3/8" MNPT x 3/8" Flare The Anderson Brass ABF-1LL is an ASSE 1022 vented dual check backflow preventer designed to protect connected plumbing and drinking water from the corrosive effects of CO2 gas in carbonator and beverage dispensing systems. The CO2 gas mixed with water in a carbonator tank exerts backpressure on the primary discharge check valve with every pumping cycle. If this check valve becomes fouled and leaks, the CO2/water mixture safely exhausts through the vent fitting rather than backing into the clean water supply. A secondary check valve ensures the mixture can never reach the inlet or contact any brass or copper plumbing components, preventing corrosion and system failure.
Construction
Lead-free brass body with stainless steel discharge retainer. Simple internal construction allows for easy cleaning. The CO2/water mixture is never exposed to the lead-free brass inlet or connected plumbing under normal operation.
Specifications
Connections: 3/8" MNPT inlet x 3/8" Flare outlet, 1/4" plastic hose barb vent | Max Pressure: 200 PSI | Max Temperature: 130°F | Suitable Media: Water | Body Material: Lead-Free Brass
Applications
Carbonated water, beverage, soda, beer, juice, coffee, espresso, and ice machine systems.
