PRODUCT FEATURES:

Durable Ferro Rod with 12000+ Strikes: 4" long × 5/16" diameter ferro rod produces reliable sparks for repeated fire starting. Designed for camping, hiking, bushcraft and emergency preparedness.

Ready-to-Use Magnesium Fuel: Pre-cut magnesium shavings provide additional fuel support and help ignite fires when natural tinder is wet, damp or difficult to light. Use a small amount each time for multiple fire-starting attempts.

Long-Burning Wax Tinder Options: Choose the wax tinder option that fits your needs. Unwind the wax rope to separate the fibers for faster ignition, or place it on magnesium shavings to help catch flame quickly and provide longer burning support. Thick wax rope measures 1.2" × 5.2" and provides up to 60 minutes of burn support. The 20-piece wax rope option includes 4" ropes, each providing approximately 12 minutes of burn time, up to 240 minutes of total tinder support.

Multi-Function Striker: The striker features a smooth edge and serrated edge for scraping the ferro rod. It also includes measurement markings and can be used as a bottle opener.

FIRST USE TIP:
Before first use, scrape away the black protective coating on the ferro rod until the shiny metal surface is exposed. This allows the striker to create a stronger shower of sparks.

HOW TO USE:
1. Place about 1/3 of a bag of magnesium shavings on dry tinder.
2. Scrape the ferro rod with the striker to create hot sparks and ignite the magnesium shavings.
3. Unwind a small piece of wax rope and place it on the magnesium to extend flame time, then add small wood or other fuel gradually to build your fire.
