In the standard standard ER collet nut, the inner ring is off center, so the ER collet can be easily

snapped in and the ER collet is held in place. To minimize this eccentricity, the ER collet

nut is optimized to distribute the flat side area to eccentricity.

Made of alloy steel, hardenable to 54-60 HRc

Tapered to an accuracy standard of AT3 or higher to maximize contact with the spindle.
