The 35mm NEMA14 Stepper Motor Power Off Brake is a compact and reliable permanent magnet brake designed for precise motor holding applications. Operating on DC 24V with a current draw of just 0.07A and a power consumption of 2.0W, this brake delivers a holding moment of 0.3N.m with an impressive 50ms response time. It is compatible with motors featuring a 5mm shaft diameter and is built to perform across a wide operating temperature range of -20°F to 176°F (-20°C to 80°C), with a withstand voltage rating of AC 450V (50/60Hz). The working principle is straightforward: when power is cut, the permanent magnet's strong magnetic force locks the friction plate securely in place, providing immediate holding force. When power is restored, the coil's magnetic field cancels out the permanent magnet, releasing the brake.
