Install a windshield by yourself without worrying about setting it properly Place the Auto Glass Setting Assist over the windshield wiper post on the bottom of the windshield opening (or a non-skid pad that can be placed against the body when setting back glasses). The top end of the setting Assist is held above the vehicle with a non-skid rubber pad that keeps the Auto Glass Setting Assist elevated. Set the opposite side of the glass from the Assist. Then when you are ready to set the side of glass the Assist is being used on, slightly lift and remove the Assist to set.
