Special Features

  • Function: The Air Check Test Plate Tool is used to test the airtightness of the clutch drive plate, retainer plate, and two friction bands in General Motors Turbo 400, 375, or 3L80 transmissions.
  • Material: The Air Check Test Plate Tool is laser-cut from 3/16-inch thick aluminum.
  • Installation: During installation, it replaces the valve body mount, enabling transmission technicians to apply air pressure inside the transmission after assembly.
  • By introducing air through designated ports, the following internal components can be tested: Forward clutch, Direct clutch, Intermediate (2nd) clutch, Low / Reverse (rear) band release and apply, Intermediate (front) band release and apply.
  • Includes 8 5/16-18 & 5 1/4-20 bolts for years of trouble-free service.
