TL-PA7017 KIT is an AV1000 Gigabit Powerline Starter Kit that extends a wired network connection through existing electrical wiring. It is designed for areas where Wi-Fi is weak or where a stable wired Ethernet connection is preferred. Using HomePlug AV2 technology, the kit supports data transfer rates up to 1000 Mbps and a powerline range up to 300 meters / 1000 ft over existing electrical wiring. Actual performance can vary based on wiring quality, distance, electrical noise and network conditions. Each adapter includes one Gigabit Ethernet port for connecting compatible wired devices such as desktop computers, smart TVs, game consoles, routers, access points and Ethernet switches. Setup is simple: plug one adapter near the router, plug the second adapter near the device and pair them for a secure powerline network. This kit does not provide Wi-Fi. It is intended for wired Ethernet connectivity through wall outlets and should be plugged directly into an electrical outlet, not into a surge protector or power strip.
