This antibody specifically targets neurojungin, also known as delta-catenin, a 160 kD protein belonging to the plakoglobin/armadillo family. Primarily found in brain adhering junctions, delta-catenin also interacts with presenilin-1, mutations of which are linked to familial Alzheimer's disease. It does not cross-react with other armadillo/plakoglobin family members.
