This combination yields a strong aluminum sheet with good corrosion resistance, workability, formability, and weldability. 5052 is stronger than most other 5xxx series, 1100 and 3003 alloys. 5052 alloys, with their magnesium content, and near absence of copper, are an excellent choice for exterior, chemical and marine use. Mill finish material can have a rough texture, spots of oxidation. We recommend polishing or machining the surface for a smooth finish.
