The origin of Chia (Salvia Hispanica) is Mexico. It grows at an altitude of 1800-2600 meters above sea level. Salvia Hispanica is an annual herbaceous plant up to 1 meter high. The leaves are opposite, up to 8 cm long, up to 5 cm wide. Chia flowers are of dark red or white color. The seeds of the plant are small, ovoid, shiny with a prominent pattern on the surface. The seeds can be of different colors: gray, brown, yellowish, white and even black.
