Special Features

  • A photoelectric sensor is an electronic device that uses light to detect the presence, absence, distance, or characteristics of an object. It works by emitting a light beam and analyze how the light interacts with the target object. These sensors are widely used in industrial automation, manufacturing, and safety systems due to their non-contact operation, reliability, and versatility.
  • Diffuse Photoelectric Sensor: Wire Size: 4.7mm x 116cm / 0.19 x 45.67 inch (OD x L); Terminal Wire Dia: 1.6mm / 0.06 inch; Thread Size: M18; Rated Voltage: DC 6-36V Rated Current: 300mA; Sensing Distance: 30cm / 11.81 inch; Output State: NPN NC;
  • NPN NC (Normally Closed): By default (no object), the NPN transistor is on, keeping the output closed (current flows). When an object blockages the beam, the transistor turns off, opening the circuit and stopping current flow. Used for safety or fail-safe systems.
  • To use a photoelectric sensor: Mount and align it so the light beam hits the target. Wire it correctly (NPN = connects to ground, PNP = connects to +V). Adjust sensitivity if needed. Test by blocking the beam—the sensor's LED or output signal will confirm detection.
  • Keep the sensor clean and avoid bright ambient light that might interrupt the detection result.
