This is the "old style" or original design air cylinder. The original internal spring design is no longer available (NLA), and replacements like the KP7501501 now feature an external spring design.
It is considered to have universal vehicle compatibility for the specific fifth wheel application it was designed for, fitting various truck makes like Peterbilt, Volvo, Freightliner, International, etc., provided they have the correct pre-April 2005 Jost slider.
Important Note: It is crucial to verify the specific part number and measurements of your existing air cylinder or the manufacturing date of your fifth wheel slider system, as the newer KP7501503 cylinder has a different 12-inch center-to-center measurement and is not interchangeable with the KP7501501.
