These adapters are meant to be taken off and put back on your camera as much as needed with no give so it stays as precise as the day you bought it as long as possible. Lens Compatibility Note: Nikon G-type lenses do not have an aperture ring; however, the adapter is able to mechanically open and close the lens diaphragm using the aperture control lever found on the rear of most Nikon lenses. The adapter is also backwards compatible with older Nikon F-mount lenses. This adapter will not work with Nikon AF-P lenses. Compatible RED Cameras: RED Weapon, Dragon, Epic and Scarlet cameras Please Note: 'Focus-By-Wire' lenses such as Nikon's AF-P requires power to engage the manual focus rings on the lens, since manual lens mount adapters do not power the lens, those lenses will not be able to focus. This is a manual adapter, so lens functions that rely on electronic communication with the camera body (autofocus, AE metering, image stabilization, etc. ) will be disrupted. We state “infinity focus allowed” because our adapters are designed to be universal which can prevent some lenses from focusing to infinity at the infinity mark. Set your camera to “Manual' or ‘Aperture Priority' for metering. If camera does not release be sure to enable ‘shoot without lens' in camera settings. All pictures are for illustration purposes only.
