Sevenbark (Hydrangea arborescens) is a deciduous shrub that can reach 2.5-3 meters in height. The root system is branched; reddish-brown shoots are glabrous or slightly pubescent. The leaves of the plant are opposite. The crown of the bush is delicate, wide-spread, can reach two meters in diameter. Shiny flowers are small, white (white-green when blooming). Flowers form hemispherical or thyroid inflorescences. Sevenbark blooms from June to the end of September. Fruits are small boxes with small seeds.
