For use in Gen 4 engines only (camshaft sensor on front of engine in timing cover). Will not work on Gen 3 engines with the cam sensor located behind the intake manifold. GM trucks typically started using Gen 4 engines in 2007. The part or sub-assembly you are purchasing is a Genuine OEM Factory Original part sold by an authorized Genuine OEM parts reseller. The part is not "like OEM", it is the Genuine OEM part made by the vehicle manufacturer. Can also be used on NON-VVT single bolt applications (the bolt and cam sprocket will block off the VVT oil port so it won't leak pressure).
