Pure Garcinia (Garcinia cambogia) is an evergreen tropical tree, 4-6 meters high. Garcinia cambogia grows in Southeast Asia, India, West and Central Africa, mainly in tropical rainforests. The fruit looks like a small pumpkin of green or light yellow color. It is covered with a thin skin, the flesh is in the form of vertical lobes, due to which it resembles citrus fruits. The color ranges from green to yellow and light orange. Inside the fruit there are 6-8 seeds wrapped by a white succulent aril.
