The injectors operate on 9V and it is recommended that a 9V battery be used for cleaning. If using a 12V battery, be sure to touch the contacts only briefly (1-2 seconds) to prevent overloading the internal electronics.
For best results, use fuel injector cleaner to avoid damage to o-rings and other moving fuel injector parts.

When the injector is dirty, it will make a pounding sound when opening and closing, not a sharp click. Watch for a change in the clicking sound with each operation.
