Fishsaverpro is an engineered descending device for fish that need to be returned after being caught in deep water and are suffering from decompression or Barotrauma. NOAA Data shows the highest survival rate (85%) for fish with barotrauma is by using a descending device for their release. Fish venting is no longer considered good practice as it carries high risk of internal damage and infection and only releases gas from the airbladder and not expanded gasses trapped within the flesh and body. Fish with Barotrauma are usually exhausted and unable to swim to depth unaided. Fishsaverpro takes them down quickly which helps avoid predator attack and facilitates quick recovery. Fishsaverpro is a small, strong and compact engineered design making it safe and easy to store and use. The design avoids mechanical failure as it does not rely on any mechanical release and as the fish are not being restrained can swim off once it has reached recovery depth or when in danger thus reducing the risk of shark and predator attack during fish descent. NOAA compliant and good for all fish caught at depth including reef fish, perch, trout, grouper and snapper. Fishsaverpro is supplied without weights and is patent pending. The small size helps to minimise damage to the fish and the device is made from selected high corrosion resistant stainless materials for long life and durability.
