The Askar 50P is a compact OTA that combines a 50mm aperture, 190mm focal length, and a fast f/3.8 focal ratio into a lightweight, portable form—delivering professional optical performance in a minimal footprint.
Its optical system employs a quadruplet Petzval APO design, featuring one SD glass element. The rear two elements are cemented,supporting APS-C format and optimized for 1-inch sensors. Thanks to the self-flattened design, no additional correctors are required: attach your camera, achieve focus, and begin capturing flatfield images.
The lens tube is built as a single lightweight unit. The lens hood adopts a design: extended during use to block stray light effectively, and reversed when stored to minimize overall length. Combined with the dust cover, it offers both convenience and protection.
Dual finder bases are integrated on both sides of the tube ring, and multiple standard M4 threaded holes are reserved, offering ample potential for expanding with astronomical accessories.
