Dragonfly OSMO has always been a freestanding tent that deftly balances weight and livability, but its brand-new crossbar design lets this Dragonfly really stretch its wings. Now with taller doors and even more interior space, Dragonfly OSMO also boasts a stronger, more stable frame made with a new recycled aluminum pole set.
NEMO's custom Elements hardware collection gains a new forged hub design this year, a piece that enables the crossbar “wings” to angle upward before tension is applied. Once the tent is clipped in and tensioned, this Precurve approach creates a near-horizontal roof and ample headroom at more than just the peak. Lightweight variations of our Axial corner anchor are included to make the rain fly attachment painless.
A roomy interior is only a plus when you're protected from harsh weather, and that's where OSMO comes in. A solution-dyed version of our proprietary fabric is used on this tent, and it continues to excel at repelling water and staying taut even when wet — and does so without the use of PFAS. Even better, it has a superior tear strength to complement Dragonfly OSMO's now-tougher frame. (Crazy winds? Bring ‘em on.)
The generously sized doors pair with roomy vestibules for easy entry and access to bulkier gear. A Landing Zone storage “tub” is now included and can be placed in vestibules on either side of the tent to help protect gear from muddy terrain. Inside, a gear loft and pockets keep belongings tidy while an overhead Nightlight Pocket casts headlamp light with a warm, even glow. Our updated Divvy Cube stuff sack allows for easily splitting the weight with a partner and stows more efficiently in your pack.
