Graphite Pencil is still manufactured in France, according to the same rules of the art. It is composed of a balanced mixture of clay and graphite. The graphite lead is a slightly silvery gray color, particularly silky because it is impregnated with a wax. It does not scratch the paper; it glides over the support. The Graphite Pencil is recommended for meticulous and precise work, whether constructing a sophisticated perspective, a comic book character, or a flawlessly constructed nude. Graduations range from H (Hard in English) for hardness to B (Bold in English) for softness. The higher the number, the harder or softer the pencil.
