SmallRig Wireless Video Repeater for Cameras 5566 is designed to lower the barriers to professional wildlife photography, a field traditionally reliant on long telephoto lenses. It enhances shooting success by minimizing intrusion to subjects and reducing physical strain on the photographer. Users can operate from a distance, avoiding harsh environments and eliminating the need for concealment, while maintaining a connection to monitoring devices (smartphones / tablets) via a shared Wi-Fi network. With optional 2.4G / 5G bands and a remote control range of up to 500m / 1640ft, the hub extends operational capabilities. Compatible with cameras from for Sony,for Canon, for Nikon, for Panasonic, for DJI, and for Insta360, it leverages dedicated manufacturer apps for seamless remote control, including focus adjustment, zoom, photo / video switching, and parameter tuning, all with real-time monitoring. This capability dramatically reduces the photographer's presence, minimizing stress on wildlife to capture authentically natural content. It also streamlines the creative process by eliminating the need for prolonged concealment in extreme temperatures or hazardous surroundings. The repeater supports both single-camera (one-to-one) and multi-camera (one-to-many or many-to-many) workflows using one or multiple monitoring devices, and enables on-demand recording to optimize battery life and preserve storage space. Multiple 1/4"-20 threaded holes (on the top, bottom, and sides) accommodate SmallRig accessories such as the power bank holder (ID 2790) and mini V-lock mount plate (ID MD2801B), ensuring uninterrupted power from power banks or V-mount batteries.
