Special Features

  • These are the only authentic replicas of those in the movie, exactly the same size, 3 inches in wingspan and 2 inches from beak to tail
  • Exquisitely sculpted by internationally known sculptor John Perry, they are molded in beautiful, semi translucent Pellucida, his proprietary resin compound that resembles porcelain, but unlike porcelain will not break if dropped.
  • Direct pricing; these come from the artist's California studio here in the USA, so direct pricing with no middle man and no import tax.
  • The CERTIFICATE OF AUTHENTICATION includes an excerpt from the contract between 20th Century Fox and John that, in consideration for the creation of the Doves and the other 12 Days of Christmas ornaments, allowed him to retain the copyrights and continue to produce replicas.
  • They are as light as a feather so can be hung from the smallest of branches. They may look fragile, but they are in fact sturdy and will survive dropping on the floor and similar abuse.
  • Metallic thread is provided which can be attached either as a loop, easiest for hanging on a tree and removing later, or as a single thread which will allow the dove to move more freely as though alive and flying

Each of the pair of Doves comes in its own JEWELRY STYLE GIFT BOX, that is 2 Turtle Doves, 2 boxes, complete with a GIFT NOTE CARD with a CERTIFICATE OF AUTHENTICTY on the reverse in each box. So they are perfect if you plan to give one as a KEEPSAKE to a friend and keep the other.
