VIRTUAL COM PORT (VCP) Drivers are available for the following Operating Systems (OS):

- Windows 98, 98SE, ME, 2000, - Server 2003, XP, Server 2008 and server 2012 R2
- Windows XP Embedded
- Windows CE 4.2, 5.0 and 6.0
- Mac OS 8/9, OS-X
- Linux 2.4 and greater - Android(J2xx / D2xx only)

Virtual COM Port (VCP) drivers cause the USB device to appear as an additional COM port available to the PC. Application software can access the USB device in the same way as it would access a standard COM port.
