In her new astro sculptures, the Danish sculptor Malene Bjelke has been inspired by the long-standing history of Kähler, in which figures occupy a special place. They represent a modern interpretation of Kähler's designer heritage, which began in the historic ceramic workshop in Denmark, while also having a spiritual focus. All zodiac figures are made from white, unglazed stoneware and have a scissor-cut look. Thanks to their accentuated raw design, the naturalistic details of the figures receive a special dynamism and can be viewed from any angle, as with sculptures. Each astro sculpture has been provided with a word that reflects the values associated with the respective zodiac sign. The energy of the characteristic features of each zodiac sign is expressed through the design of the sculptures.
