Overview
The Micro Mini Media Converter seamlessly converts data between Gigabit Ethernet and fiber optic networks, utilizing advanced switching technology. Adhering to IEEE802.3, IEEE802.3u, IEEE802.3z, and IEEE802.3ab standards, it facilitates two types of network connections: 10Base-T/100Base-TX/1000Base-T, and 100/1000Base-X. This device interchanges electrical signals from 10Base-T/100Base-TX/1000Base-T twisted pairs with optical signals from 100/1000Base-SX/LX. It supports transmissions in multi-mode dual fiber, single mode dual fiber, and single mode single fiber configurations. When connected to a computer via USB, the media converter auto shuts down upon computer shutdown, promoting energy efficiency. This compact device is an ideal solution for fiber-to-the-laptop applications requiring Gigabit fiber connectivity, especially when local power sources are unavailable.
